Trauma is a distressing event in which a person feels severely threatened emotionally, psychologically, or physically. Most people will experience a traumatic event at some point in their lives. Many people recover from trauma with time and through the support of family and friends, bouncing back with great resiliency, but for others, the effects of trauma are lasting, causing a person to live with deep emotional pain, fear, confusion, or post-traumatic stress far after the event has passed. I have extensive practice experience working with women and adolescent females around trauma that has resulted from anxiety, depression, self-esteem, relationship challenges and abuse/domestic violence.

I utilize innovative strategies to deliver symbolic techniques that increase awareness, motivate growth, and empower others. I collaborate with the clients regarding their psychological or emotional issues to aid them in developing the strategies that will assist them to develop and implement changes that will assist them in progressing towards their goals and leading more enriched productive life.I specialize in the use of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focus CBT (TF-CBT), Solution-Focused and Dialectical Behavior Therapy(DBT) interventions to treat Anxiety, Depression, Bipolar, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Oppositional Behaviors, and Adjustment Disorder. In addition, I am trained to work with the Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children (CSEC).
